Udyog Aadhar / MSME Registration Expired on 30th June 2022
The Ministry of MSME, through notification no. S.O. 2134(E) dated 6th May 2022, announced that Udyog Aadhar or MSME Registrations would no longer be valid after 30th June 2022. These registrations have been replaced by the new and improved Udyam Registration system, which offers enhanced benefits and streamlined processes for MSMEs.
What Does This Mean for MSMEs With Expired Registrations?
If you previously held a Udyog Aadhar or MSME Registration, you must migrate your existing registration to the Udyam system. Failing to do so will render your registration invalid, preventing you from accessing various government schemes, subsidies, and other benefits reserved for registered MSMEs.
Why Udyam Registration Is Crucial
- Eligibility for MSME Benefits: Retain access to financial incentives, tax benefits, and priority in government tenders.
- Legal Protection: Safeguard your business under the MSME Development Act.
- Improved Credibility: Boost your business’s reputation with banks, financial institutions, and government agencies.
What You Need to Do
To keep your registration valid, you must follow these steps:
- Gather essential documents, including PAN and GST details (mandatory from 1st April 2021).
- Apply online to migrate your registration to Udyam.
